Family Fun

Wow, this past weekend was full of family fun.
Friday afternoon, Brittany, Danny James, Emily and Jacob came to spend some time with us while thier folks went to do some shopping for a special motor cycle run that they were going on the next day. We all met for dinner at Fire Mountain and Brittany and Jacob went home with Danny and Angela and Danny James and Emily came back home with us. Brittany went to spend the day with one of her friends from school and Jacob had a baby sitter for the day. Danny waited up for Uncle Thomas to get home, hoping to play video games, but it was past his bedtime when Uncle got home, so Uncle promised to get up bright and early to play games with him. That is what they did. Very Early....LOL.....
Sat. mourning after Grandpa made everyone pancakes, we hung around the house for a while and they played more video games. Then Uncle Thomas had to go to work. Grandpa and I took Danny and Emily to Sherri's Cafe to eat lunch. Then we headed to Lindsay so we could be there when Danny and Angela got in from thier cycle ride. We all got there just minutes apart. We hung out with them all for a little at the cook out gathering for the fireman's bennefit that they were there for and then we took the children and Angela home. It was a good time!
On our way out, we stopped by and saw Jana the Great at the practice feld where Sara was practicing her ball. We had just a short visit and went on our way. Sara waved at us as we pulled off. She was still practicing.
On our way home from Lindsay, we ran by to see Grandad. He almost jumped out of his chair when he saw us. He did not think anyone was coming up that day. He had forgotten that Ro Ro said she was coming and I had told him earlier that morning that we would be there. He told me he had slept since he talk to me and he had forgotten. That makes me sad.
He was in good spirits when we started saying good by and as I turned to leave, there stood RoRo. So, all in all, he wasn't completely alone. He sure was talking about the visit he had had from our cousin, Danny Martin. He stops by sometimes on his way home from Lawton, that is where he is stationed with the Army, but he gets to go home most weekends. Grandad always enjoys Danny's visits.
Sunday we had a sleepy day. We went to have breakfast at Pioneer Pies, but we got there too late, so we had our drinks and came home and had a bite here. Joy and James called us about lunch time and we all met at Texas Road House for lunch. It was good to be with them all at one time. We don't get to see James much, he is go busy with school and work. That will be over with in May and then we can all get together a little more. Joy and James and the girls came over to visit for a while and we played Pennies. I lost, but that was ok we had fun. I actually found my table top....LOL..
Monday night, I called Bruce and Thomas to dinner and not even remembering that I had found the dinning room table top over the weekend, I turned to take thier food to the TV trays in the living room and Thomas and Daddy had sat down at the table. It was really nice. It has been a long while since we had sat at the table to eat. When our children were home, we ate every meal at the table. When Thomas left home, we sort of just graduated to the TV trays in the living room. I don't know why, there is never anything on TV, we just got into the habbit.
All in all it has been pretty cool around here the last few days. "My Heart is full"
Now we are all back to our working routines and things are busy again.
Again, MEMORIES were made.
God Bless
Grammie
