Well, I am Finally Updating

Ok, here I am again. Sorry that it has been so long, but then I don't know that anyone other than me and Joy & James ever read these things. LOL

I want to thank all the people that came to see me in the hospital, Danny, RoRo, Jana, Thomas, Reba, LaHoma, Christy, Steven, Charlotte, David and Erica. If I missed anyone, I am so sorry, but I was pretty well drugged while I was in the hospital. If I flinched, they were giving me a pain pill.

As most of you know, I had a full left knee replacement on July 18. It went pretty much as they explained it to me. They sent me home on Sat. July 22, and a home health nurse came to see me that night. The home health physical therapist was here on Sunday and we started therapy that night. I went really well for the week that they came out to the house. I was on so many pain pills that I could barely function. So, having home therapy for that first week was a good thing.

Then the doctor sent me to an out patient therapy of my choice. Since I had no idea about any of them, I just went to the one that Bruce was sent to when he had his shoulders in such bad shape. They are a nice group of folks and they really do seem to care about how you are coming along.

Bruce was home with me for the first week I was out of the hospital and that was a lot of help. He babied me to death and YES, I let him. LOL That is the week that I had home health therapy.

Of course the the first day back to work for him was out of town( in Guymon) for three days and that started on my first day of therapy away from home. Thomas came to my rescue and even though he was not getting in from work until after one or two in the morning, he was up like a shot when I went to wake him at 7:00 a.m. so he could drive me to therapy. Since I was taking pain pills, they would not let me drive. They were very infatick about that. However, they said, No pain pills, no therapy. It all worked out in the long run, Thomas just had to grab a nap here and there for the first couple of days of nursing his mommy back to health. LOL!

The next week, Thomas baby sat Jessica and Jordan at our house on Monday and Tues. with me for a little back up. He did very well. Weds. They were with James on his regular day off. Then James took off half a day for the next two days to watch the girls until Joy got off work. Then he would go on in to work. That way I could have the rest of that week to recover a little better before taking them on by myself. See, a family that works together can do about anything. Thomas still hangs around a little more when he is not working with the Bug Spraying business and helps me out some with them. They just love having him around to play with.
When I told them both that they had to mind Uncle Thomas, that he was babysitting them and he was an adult, you could have knocked them both over with a feather. ROFLOL...

Danny has stopped by a few times on his busy schedule to see how I was doing and grandpa and I went to see where Danny's new office is located. It is up TWO short flights of stairs....LOL..! It is a nice office. I had a long nap after that trip. It was a little more than I was honestly ready for.

Rhoda, Jana, Sara, and Grandad came up to see me the weekend that I came home from the hospital. It was a nice. I have had some very nice visits and calls from friends and family. Thank you all!

On Aug. 6, we all got together as a family and had Birthday dinner for Danny II and Thomas, at Golden Corrall in Norman. Bruce and I went by and got Grandad and met everyone else for lunch.
Danny II, Angela, Brittany, Danny James, Emily and Jacob, Thomas & Reba, Joy, James, Christian, Jessica and Jordan, RoRo, Rhonda & Kerry, Jana, Grandad and Grandpa and Grammie. Yes, 21 of us. That little waitress was very good and very nice. Bless her heart, she earned those tips, that is for sure.
Sara was with Robby that day. She was missed.
Boy, did we invade that place. LOL It was a very good day to celebrate the birth of two of my children. I thank God each day for all of my family.
This past Sunday, Aug. 13, Grandpa, Grammie, Thomas and Reba went down to spend a little time with Grandad. I went to the recreational room and Grandpa went down to get Grandad and he came up and talked to us and we visited there. Grandpa, Thomas and Reba played some pool and Grandad and I sat a talked a bit. It was a very good visit. It got to be time for Grandad to go eat lunch so we were going to wait on him at the recreational room, but Thomas got called to work so we all came back to the city for lunch and he got ready for work. All in all, it was a nice day.
Yes, we made more memories!
