Eventful Weekend

We had an slow but eventful weekend.
Sat. we were supose to put in an A/C unit and make some extra money. That fell threw, because it was too cold and the unit would not have come on to prove that it worked. Maybe this Sat. So we spent the rest of the day hanging out around the house. At one time we thought that we were going to have Jessica and Jordan for a few hours, if Joy and James went out with some folks from his work. We didn't get them, they ended up have company at home. 8^( Maybe next time.
Sunday we had a very nice breakfast with James, Joy, Christain, Jessica and Jordan at Pioneer Pies. Everyone was all smiles when we got there. Hugs were gotten from all the babies and yes, even from Joy and James. You would have thought we hadn't seen each other in months. LOL
The children drew with crayons on plain paper and they had a good time. Jordan was busy saying hello to everyone that she saw and Jessica and Christain were drawing. Jordan got bored with her pancakes so I gave her my cool whip that came with my strawberries and waffle. WOW, that was a Grammie mistake.....roflol. I also got to take her and clean her up. As we walked past a table full of other grandma's, I was holding her out by her underarms and she was haulering hello to everyone. I just told them "Well, she had fun", I thought the older of the ladies was going to fall out of her chair laughing. She thought I had done a very good job of cleaning Jordan up when we came back out. I guess she waited to see if I could get her clean. LOL
Christian wanted us to go over and help his Daddy work on the car an spend the day, but we had already told Grandad that we would go fix his cellar door, so we had to go to Lindsay. It is very nice knowing that he wants to spend time with us.
We went straight on down to Lindsay, to Grandad's. We called Jana as we got to town and as I was about to call RoRo, we met her coming from Grandad's, where she had just feed Rosco. She turned around and came back down and Jana was there in just a few minutes. Grandpa figured out really quick that he would need a welder and so we will have to go back for that.
Since we were there, we charged the battery and started Grandad's truck. While we were under the hood, Jana found a nest built up very good and strong up next to the fire wall and on top of the motor. At first sight, she squealed an called it a rats nest. After she ran like a chicken...lol...I got a long stick and started cleaning it out. Well, it was not empty, that is for sure. It was however not a rats nest, there was a little squirel all cozy and warm and it did not like me trying to dig it out, one little bit. We got a lot of the nest torn down and Grandpa drove the truck around a few blocks, but when we left, the squirel was still there. We are now plotting against that little begger. ROFLOL. I know that nest was repaired before night fall!
We cleaned out all of Grandad's tools, personal things and several cups and chewing tabco packages, we think we have it ready to go get all cleaned up so it can be sold or can still just sit down there. We don't know which right now. It is good to have the truck there so that folks think someone is there. When one young man kept walking by, we all just talked as though Grandad was still in the house. Not really lying, but not say he wasn't there anymore. We simply said that Grandad would be really proud of how nice his truck looked.
After we all cleaned up a little we met in Norman at the VA and had KFC with Grandad and we helped Ro Ro fold and stamp letters for the Cancers Survivors walk that they are having in June. I brought the letters back up with me and put them in the mail Sunday evening at the postoffice at the air port where we get out mail. They should get to where they need to be by the RSVP Date. I hope so!
Memories were made.
Grammie
