Simply a place to brag about Our Family and Show off some pictures. Maybe even keep people informed on what is going on in all of our busy lives.

December is Upon Us!

Yes, the season in which we as Christians celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ is here.
We as a family have mostly agreed to join together at the Norman Veterans Center, in Norman, Oklahoma, on Christmas Eve as close to 6:00 p.m. as we can and celebrate with Grandad and other family members. It is going to be a good time. We are taking our gifts to exchange to this gathering, because some of the family have other places to be with other family members on Christmas Day. That is what happend when you have a large family.
Family, Friends and Good Food and the Love of the Lord! How could we beat that?

Grandad is going up and down so much since he has started having the mini strokes, that we don't know what state of mind he will be in from one minute to the next, but mostly he sleeps, in or out of his wheelchair, but at least he will be there with us. He wakes up says hi and ask what are you doing here and then goes back to sleep. Then there are times that he will wake up and carry on a very good conversation with you. He also has times that you can not understand a word he is saying, that is when he gets upset and usually goes back to sleep. At least that is how he does it when I have been around him.

Then on Christmas morning, we can have a leasure time with our immediate families that live with us and make our plans for the rest of the day with whomever we want to be with.

Bruces brother, Uncle Chuck to our children, is having a very rough time, too. He has been in the ER of two different hospital, six times since Thanksgiving. They have kept him two of those times an he is still in Presbyterian Hospital in OKC. The first time the put a tube in his right lung and left it in there for over three weeks to drain the fluid. Before that, they had drained it with a needle and it did not work. The just drained the other lung this week with a needle and they are hoping that that will make it easier for him to breath. The doctor told Rose, that they are talking about putting him in a rehab facility to try and get him built back up physically. He has lost all ability to even feed himself or use his good leg. He is completely dead weight when you have to move him from one place to the other. Keep those prayers going for one and all.
Memories, sweet and bitter sweet, they are still memories.

Okie Dokie, just a wonderful added note.
Grandpa and I were Blessed with all of our children and grandchildren for Christmas Day. It was a good time that brought me to tears and smiles.
Thank You, Danny, Angela, Brittany, Danny James, Emily, Jacob, Joy, James, Christian, Jessica, Jordan , Thomas and Reba for making our day so special. With the two of us, that made 15 in our little living room. Hey Kids, someone needs a bigger house, we are still growing, next year we will be at least 16 in number. LOL
We are Truly Blessed!
