Family Fun
Wow, this past weekend was full of family fun. Friday afternoon, Brittany, Danny James, Emily and Jacob came to spend some time with us while thier folks went to do some shopping for a special motor cycle run that they were going on the next day. We all met for dinner at Fire Mountain and Brittany and Jacob went home with Danny and Angela and Danny James and Emily came back home with us. Brittany went to spend the day with one of her friends from school and Jacob had a baby sitter for the day. Danny waited up for Uncle Thomas to get home, hoping to play video games, but it was past his bedtime when Uncle got home, so Uncle promised to get up bright and early to play games with him. That is what they did. Very Early....LOL..... Sat. mourning after Grandpa made everyone pancakes, we hung around the house for a while and they played more video games. Then Uncle Thomas had to go to work. Grandpa and I took Danny and Emily to Sherri's Cafe to eat lunch. Then we headed to Lindsay so we could be there when Danny and Angela got in from thier cycle ride. We all got there just minutes apart. We hung out with them all for a little at the cook out gathering for the fireman's bennefit that they were there for and then we took the children and Angela home. It was a good time! On our way out, we stopped by and saw Jana the Great at the practice feld where Sara was practicing her ball. We had just a short visit and went on our way. Sara waved at us as we pulled off. She was still practicing. On our way home from Lindsay, we ran by to see Grandad. He almost jumped out of his chair when he saw us. He did not think anyone was coming up that day. He had forgotten that Ro Ro said she was coming and I had told him earlier that morning that we would be there. He told me he had slept since he talk to me and he had forgotten. That makes me sad. He was in good spirits when we started saying good by and as I turned to leave, there stood RoRo. So, all in all, he wasn't completely alone. He sure was talking about the visit he had had from our cousin, Danny Martin. He stops by sometimes on his way home from Lawton, that is where he is stationed with the Army, but he gets to go home most weekends. Grandad always enjoys Danny's visits. Sunday we had a sleepy day. We went to have breakfast at Pioneer Pies, but we got there too late, so we had our drinks and came home and had a bite here. Joy and James called us about lunch time and we all met at Texas Road House for lunch. It was good to be with them all at one time. We don't get to see James much, he is go busy with school and work. That will be over with in May and then we can all get together a little more. Joy and James and the girls came over to visit for a while and we played Pennies. I lost, but that was ok we had fun. I actually found my table top....LOL.. Monday night, I called Bruce and Thomas to dinner and not even remembering that I had found the dinning room table top over the weekend, I turned to take thier food to the TV trays in the living room and Thomas and Daddy had sat down at the table. It was really nice. It has been a long while since we had sat at the table to eat. When our children were home, we ate every meal at the table. When Thomas left home, we sort of just graduated to the TV trays in the living room. I don't know why, there is never anything on TV, we just got into the habbit. All in all it has been pretty cool around here the last few days. "My Heart is full" Now we are all back to our working routines and things are busy again. Again, MEMORIES were made. God BlessGrammie
This week has been full.
Monday and Tues. there wasn't much going on but life.
**Weds. Joy and Jessica came over and graciously went to the eye doctor with me, Jordan went to daycare, she would not have had a good time at the doctors office. I did not know if I would be able to see well enough to drive and Grandpa had to be in Tulsa to work everyday this week.
I was very happy to have Joy and Jessica there, by the time the doctor got through with me, I was not in the shape to drive. This cyst had gotten infected an had grown under some scare tissue from the last surgery. It took him a lot longer to remove this one than it ever did the others. I have some bruising but it is clearing up pretty good.
Then we girls went and had a bite of lunch and Joy drove me out to the mall to pay my cell phone bill. She drove around while I was in the mall an by the time I got back to the car, Jessica had fallen to sleep. She had put in a long day. We went to get Jordan at the daycare and they brought me home. Even going to the doctor, it was a good day.
Thomas' new lady came up to see him for a little while that evening. They came by the house to for him to change out of his work clothes and off they went.
**Thurs., Grandpa went with me to the knee surgeon and I got better news than I thought I would. Dr. Rosacker told me that I am going to have to have the surgery, that is no doubt, but since I had been able to tell him that my level of pain had gone down and that I had started getting some sleep and stopped falling, he decided that we did not have to rush into the surgery right now. I know I breathed a sigh of relief. I was really scared that he was going to say lets do this and get it over with. I honestly was not ready for him to say that, yet. He did say that if I started falling again, that we would need to go ahead and get it done, before I fell and broke something else. I agree with him on that. After the doctors office, I rode to Tulsa with Grandpa and he put in a long day of work. We gave Dana & Donna a dog kennell for thier son Brandon's dogs that are coming to live at thier house for a while, but forgot to give them the hardware for it. So after work, we ran out to thier house and put the kennell together for them. Dana is on the road moving thier son, Brandon, and his family home to Tulsa from out of state, I think they said Georgia. Donna fixed us a very nice dinner and then we came on home. We got home a little after 9:00 p.m.
Grandpa is off work today, because he had to work out of town all week.
Danny II and Angela are going on a Poker Run on thier bike on Sat. so Grandpa and I are going to have Danny James and Emily for tonight and Sat. Brittany is going to spend the day with a friend and Jacob is getting a sitter. Joy and I have mentioned going to the mall with Jessica & Jordan and Danny and Emily on Sat. They have a caracel and a play ground for the children to play on then we can do lunch somewhere. By that time, I figure it will be time to be getting Danny and Jordan back to Lindsay to see Mom & Dad ride in on thier bike. This should be a fun weekend. I need to call Joy on Sat. and see if she still wants to get the children together for a little while at the mall or maybe at least for breakfast.*****Memories are going to be made!*****

Red Rock and Memories
Well it was a nice trip to Red Rock, but we did not even get out of the van. With the burn ban on there just was not much going on down there. There were less than ten campers even parked there. The camp host wasn't even there yet. The pool is not open yet, I guess just because it is Spring Break, they don't think it is warm enough to play in the water. Well, Duh!..LOL The last time I was ever at Red Rock, Grandad and I went for a hike up a hill & three or four hours later, we got back to the Family Reunion. I was so sunburned, because I had worn the wrong thing to go hiking in. It was Granny's Family Reunion, the Ramsey side. My PaPa was there an all of Granny's sisters and her brother were there with thier families. This trip brought back some very good memories for me. We came home on the back roads and enjoyed the view a lot more than we did on the trip up there. I remember as a child, Grandad taking all the back roads to anywhere we went. I still enjoy the back roads when we are not in a hurry. I told Grandpa that we needed the makings for a balogna and cheese sandwich and a jug of iced tea and it would have been like it was when I was little. We would be driving down some dirt road and Grandad (Daddy) would just pull over and we would eat lunch right there. Now days, you would probably get shot. People just don't trust anyone anymore. Sadly, I can understand why. Tomorrow (Thurs. 3/16/06) I go to the knee doctor again and on Friday, Grandpa and I both go to the diabetic doctor. Just for check ups. The are both early appointments, so we will have most of each day left to do about anything. God Bless.....Go Make Some Good MemoriesGrammie
Catching up a Little
Well, Saturday was a GOOD Day. Lunch with the grandbabies, most of our children, my sisters and extended families of our grandchildren. It is good when two sides of a family can get together in one house an have a good time celebrating the children. It was fun. Danny and Emily had a good time opening presents and then Danny II took the children to the park Aunt Jana the Great had to go, too, because Jessica got left behind and she needed a big person's hand to hold. That was great. Emily modeled her princes outfit and Danny told me about his new stuff. A house full of children, is definintely a house full of LOVE. That house was full of LOVE on Sat. Sunday we went to see Grandad and had a very nice visit with him. He told me to get something done to with my leg when he saw me walking, so I told him what the doctor said. He told me not to mess around and put it off, like he did and to take care of if after the surgery, like I was told. I said, " Yes Sir ", and we moved on to another subject. We went to one of the family rooms to visit and have plenty of room for all of us to sit and still be able to see each other. It is a nice room, lots of light, so you don't feel closed in. Grandad said that he had heard about the Birthday Parties, but it was after they were over. He was sorry that he could not make it. I told him that I would try to get him to the next family function that we had. He said thanks, he would try to be here for it. (That was his way of getting in a little dig, I think.) LOL..that is ok, he just wants to be included in things, still. Grandpa and I are on vacation this week and we are headed to Red Rock today. We both got to talking about it and it has been at least 37 years since I have been there and that was at a family reunion for my PaPa's side of the family. Daddy said that it has been longer than that for him, so we are going just to see what it is like now. We will be back tonight, I think!TELL SOMEONE THAT YOU LOVE THEM TODAY!GOD BLESSGrammie.
A Beautiful Day Already Started
Well, here we go into another beautiful day! I made Grandpa a pot of coffee bright and early so he could wake up. LOL! Now, Grandpa is cooking us some sausage and eggs for breakfast. We are getting ready for our day with our family. I have the wrapping paper and scotch tape out and the birthday presents our in the living room waiting to be wrapped. Today we are all getting together at Danny and Angela's home for the combined birthday party cookout, for Danny James ( he is now 8) and Emily Faith (she is now 4) . There will be family from all over attending. I can't wait to see everyone, it has been a long time. Uncle has to be at work by noon and James has to work until 4:00 p.m. so they don't get to be there, but they will be in our hearts and thoughts. Grandpa started his vacation yesterday. We don't really have any plans, he just has time he has to use up or he does not get to roll it over. We have been talking about going fishing somewhere for a couple of days. YES, Fishing...lol...but we have not decided where yet. Gas prices have a lot to do with how far we go. 8^( We are going to watch Joy's girls tonight after the party, so she and James can have a date night. I am so proud of them for having date night. It really helps a couple to have time with just each other. It does not mean you don't love your children, it just means you are smart enough to know that you need some big people time, together, every once in a while. Grandpa and I still have date nights. Yesterday we went to Tulsa so Grandpa could put in his last two hours of work for the week and then we went to dinner with Dana & Donna Jackson. We had a very nice visit afterwards on thier patio, for quit a while. It is just beautiful out where they live. They have a beautiful home. We are very happy for them, thier son Brandon and his family are moving back to OKLA. That is making Dana and Donna very happy. They have not gotten to see Brandon's baby but a couple of times and they are just beeming at the thought of having the family with them for a while. I know that we are going to sneak up there and let me get my hands on this little darling, after they have had a little time to settle in. That is if I can pry him out of Donna's arms. LOL.. Guess I had better go finish up the gift wrapping and go get the chips and pop that I said that I would bring and call and see if I can get anything else. GOD BLESS ALL! Grammie.
It has been a Good Day!
Well, the day started off with me in a cleaning frenzy. I did laundry and put it up, cleaned out from under things that I have needed to do for a while. I even made our bed and put all my Cow Dolls and my Panda Bear on it. That will give Grandpa something to do before he goes to bed, or he'll just push them all on my side of the bed and let me put them up when I get to go to bed....LOL Joy brought the girls over for a while so that she and James could go to the meeting with the lady the court appointed for them to talk to about Christian. ( Keep them in your Prayers) RoRo called and told us she was down with Grandad and asked if we were coming down. I had just missed a phone call from Grandad, because I did not hear the phone ring while running the floor sweeper. So, we loaded the girls up and went down to see Grandad. They were both all gigles when we told them where we were going. When we got to see Grandad, both girls went right on in to say high to him and he shook thier hands. Pretty soon, they were giving him hugs. Jordan kept putting on the brakes on his wheelchair. Grandad got a kick out of that. He said she knew what she was doing. Then we all, RoRo, Grandpa, J & J and myself all went out to the lake and sat on the covered dock for a while. The girls got bored after a while, so we brought them on home. RoRo took Grandad out for some ice cream or a coke. Jordan went to sleep on the way back to our house and she is still sleeping and Grandpa & Jessica is watching cartoons on a DVD. Opps, Uncle just showed up and he stole Grandpa to go help him load the camping box to bring it home. That will get him completely moved back home. Thomas has already started looking at places to buy. He just does not want to pay rent and I can't say as I blame him. If he is going to put out that kind of money, he might as well be buying it. Guess I am going to go watch cartoons with Jessia, since Grandpa left. It has been a nice day. Grandad was all smiles when he saw all of us there. When you get a chance, go put a smile on his face. xoxoxo Grammie.
Another Busy Day
Grandpa is headed to Tulsa for the third day in a row. He spends four hours of his eight hour work day on the highway, because they don't let him have overtime; it makes him a very tired man at the end of the day. Thomas has already started his day, he left here bright and early to be at work by 4:30 a.m. He got his bed moved in last night and stayed his first night in his old room. He had a rough time getting to sleep, but finally he did get to snoring a little. He gets off at noon so he and I will go over and finish packing his dishes and a few other things and get them in storage. Thomas and Danny met at our house yesterday afternoon and they loaded up Grandma Cleo's old TV console so that Danny could take it home. YES, it is out of my living room...Yippee! It is a nice TV, it just does not work good without cable and we don't have cable. At least it worked when we unpluged it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it....LOL I go to the knee doctor again today, I guess for another one of those shots he is so proud of. It didn't do me any good the last time, so if it doesn't help this time, I am not going to take anymore of them. They hurt! I printed a couple of pictures off of Danny's blog yesterday, of Emily and Jessica giving Grandad hugs and kisses. I am going to find a frame for them and try to get them down to him this weekend sometime. This is going to be a busy day for everyone. I pray that everyone is Blessed.
Getting a New Heart Doctor?????
Well, Grandpa and I are looking for a new heart doctor. Ours, Dr. Malik, is moving to Denton, Texas to be closer to his children. Thier gain, our loss! He is a very compassionate man, he will be missed. We went to his office to talk to him about the move and to say our goodbyes on Monday and today I went back and picked up our records, so that we can take them to the new doctor, when we decide on one. Then we have to go to our primary doctor and have him refer us to the new heart doctor. You can't get in to see a new doctor anymore, unless you are refered to them by another one. Man, that is just crazy! We are thinking about going to Great Grandad's heart man or to the doctor that did my bypass. They are both very good doctors.
